Drummer Dave Cutler is a jazz veteran of over thirty years performance.
Diploma 78 Graduate of Berklee College, Boston, Mass. USA. Dave was tutored by Keith Copeland - Johnny Griffin/Gil Evans Orchestra.
Dave has performed in the USA and has worked with sax player Ralph Moore - The Tonight Show Band, acclaimed guitarist Bill Frissell and trumpeter Herb Pomeroy - Charlie Parker Quintet. Dave's English credits include Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Back to Basie Big Band, Blue Horizon Swingtet, Elaine Delmar, Georgie Fame, Tony Lee Trio and The Jazz Brothers with Jason Rebello.
London Club venues include Ronnie Scotts and 606 Club. Sponsored by The Arts Council for jazz recording project 'JAZZALIVE' . Dave has also been recently invited to the Vic Firth PDT seminar in London.
Recent performances include the 2005 concert with Jazz Matrix featuring Jim Mullen, for the Dubai Philips International Jazz festival in Dubai, UAE. www.dubaijazzfest.com
Teaching Schedule
Dave's drum teaching techniques include all styles of drum performance. He is a specialist in rudimental technique, four-way co-ordination and chart reading. Students interested in brushes technique are very welcome. Dave is also particularly interested in those who are seeking their own personal potential through developing their own drumming skills.
